So just what is this PSCT thing, and why do I see this uniform all over Jill's website?
PSCT stands for the PRO Sports Club Triathletes. This team was formed for 2006 and Jill is currently a member. Jill was asked to be the coordinator/coach when it was first being developed in the summer of 2005.
Jill has been a member of the PRO Sports Club for many years. She participated in the 20/20 Lifestyles program back in 2000-2001, and this is what inspired her to do her first triathlon, the Seattle Danksin in the summer of 2001. Her trainer at this time was Carl Schwedberg. After her first triathlon, Jill started working with Josh Fitchitt, Fitness Center Director, as her trainer. Jill introduced him to Joe Freil's Triathlete's Training Bible as they prepared her for her first Ironman.
Last summer, Jill mentioned to Josh that she was going to get her USAT coaching certification. He then asked her to help him start up what later become the PSCT. Jill was asked to be the Coordinator and to serve as a Coach of this program as it was getting off the ground. Jill had attended a couple of the CounterPart Coaching camps, and suggested to Josh that he bring in Mitch Gold to leverage his expertise and his web-based forum and training plan tool. Jill also brought in Triumph-Multisport as one of the first sponsors and she worked on the initial, though not the final, design of the team uniform.
Jill is no longer the Coordinator/Coach of PSCT but has remained on the team as an athlete. Several of Jill's athletes are also on the team, and Jill enjoys mentoring many of the new triathletes. On this site you are likely to find pictures and race reports of many PSCT athletes.
