Other news: On Saturday, August 12, Win Van Pelt won his age group at the Cougar Mountain 13 Mile Trail Run!
It was a great day for racing on Sunday, August 6, as about 200 people participated in the 26th annual Troika half iron distance triathlon.
The day started with a beautiful sunrise at Medical Lake. The bike course found its way into downtown Spokane, ending at the Riverside Park in the midst of the hemp festival. Several local bands (hard rock) were entertaining the crowd and athletes alike. The run ended in the same park on an up-hill finish.

Tricoachjill athlete Win Van Pelt also had a strong performance with his time of 5:13:51.
This earned him a 4th place AG finish.

Two Pro Sports Club Triathlete members competed in their uniforms, doing their first half-iron distance races. Kathy Watson and Su Chang both finished the race very strong. Kathy came in with a time of 7:03:01, and Su was right behind at 7:04:28. Read Su's race report here, and Kathy's as well. Kris Solem and Jennifer Johnston also competed.
