Tri at the Y

Some of the more adventurous members of Team JFT2 decided to do an early season Tri on Saturday, March 3.   The Bellevue YMCA hosted its first annual indoor-outdoor "Mini Tri".  The event was limited to 22 participants (the number of LeMond RevMasters in the Indoor Cycling room), who went out in three waves.  Seven of these participants were Team JFT2 members.

The event started with a 400 yard swim in the indoor pool, followed by 10 miles on the spin bikes, then a run that included seven laps on a nearby track, ending with an uphill run to the finish.

From team JFT2, all seven members got an excellent workout and some great race practice.  The team managed to capture first and third place in the men's division, and first and second in the ladies' group.

The entire team then headed out for a 2:30 bike ride, which included some interval work around Mercer Island, where many of them will be running in the Half Marathon later this month.

It was a nicely coordinated event, and everyone had a great time getting ready for the exciting season ahead.

Some photos are shown below.  For a more complete list, (over 80 photos), check out Jill's spaces.live website.
