Great showing and great results from the team in Troika! Special congrats to Lavonne for completing her first half ironman! With four top ten AG finishes, the team represented well, and also demonstrated great sportsmanship and enthusiam on the course (as always!). Steve and Jess really showed some speed, with some excellent bike times and overall finishes. Mark and Shannon both had strong races with nearly identical bike splits. Jill Brandon had an excellent race as she is getting back into her training. Love to see some race reports (click on name-links above; great job LaVonne!)
Ragner Relay
Three JFT2 team mates had great runs in the 185 mile Ragnar Relay Northwest Passage relay race this weekend as part of Team Tracy II. Blake ran 3 legs totalling 17.9 miles, Jason totalled 18.8 miles and Jennifer pulled in 15.5 miles. The total team time was 28 hours, 42 minutes and 39 seconds placing 107 out of 142 teams and 42 out of 59 in their class (mixed Open, i.e., 6 men, 6 women any age). Fourth JFT2 team member, Julie, was team captain and drove van #2 due to an achilles injury. The team was running on behalf of a friend of Julie's who has colon cancer. Thanks to Blake, Jason and Jennifer - you were real anchors on the team!
