Mt Rainier Duathlon

 Ten Team JFT2 members raced in the Mt. Rainier Duathlon long course event on Sunday, April 25.  Congatulations to Anna for winning her Age Group with a total time of 2:50.  Rachel took 5th with her time of 3:04, and Ana placed 10th at 3:11. 

 

The men's field was also highly competitive.  Werner placed 11th in the 40-49AG, and 21st overall, with his time of 2:30 in his first multisport race. Blake and James were not far behind; Blake's time of 2:32 earned him a 6th place

finish in the 30-39 AG, and James' time of 2:34, placed him 5th in the 20-29 AG.  
Steve's time of 2:39 earned him 16th in his AG and 38th overall. 
Greg and Kevin came in at 2:48 and 2:51, for 15th and 17th in the 30-39AG.   Aziz placed 8th in his AG with a time of 3:07.   Almost 300 photos of the event can be found here.
 
On April 24 (Left), some of the Marysville Police Department members, who are raising funds for the Special Olympics, meet some of the Special Olympics kids at their swim training event.  Jill has volunteered her time to coach the Marysville PD for their Lake Stevens 70.3 event.     On April 21, the team meets for a swim training event (Right).
 
April 22 Swim video review session and race preview at SVC.  Jill offered additonal swim tips and instruction for the team members based on their own video, then previewed the race courses of both the 5-Mile Lake Tri and the Issaquah Triathlon.
