Congratulations Katelin on your first triathlon!  Katelin is usually racing for the University of Virginia in a rowing shell.  She is now three months post knee surgery; she was able to race the swim and the bike, and then she walked the run portion of the race.

This was also Nadine's first triathlon.  Nadine is from Germany and spent her youth as a swimmer.  She is very excited to bring her bike and run up to the caliber of her swim.  Excellent first race Nadine, way to go!

Here is Elizabeth, who was unfortunately hit by a car during this race.  She is banged up, but doing ok.  We are thankful that it was not more serious.  Elizabeth's race was going very well up until the accident.  Jill knows that she will bounce right back from this and will be racing again sometime soon.  Elizabeth is a very tough and resilient athlete and individual (and very funny :-).

Melissa and Tracy getting ready for the race.  Melissa won the BodyFat contast last year and lost almost 60 pounds!
